The humidor project location was carefully selected to be far away from residential neighborhoods. The closest neighborhood is 4,000 feet from the proposed site. It is also located in an industrial area between a freeway and rail line, near other energy infrastructure.
Provides back up power equivalent to 300,000 homes to help maintain grid reliability during extreme events, keeping the lights on and ACs running
Utilizes already disturbed and industrial zoned land between two highways and a railroad
Will not use any groundwater and will use only LA County Public Works water

Anticipate $100,000 annually in projected direct investment to Acton community initiatives and approximately $2,000,000 annually in new tax base to support critical public infrastructure like schools, fire departments and police departments.
The project will store up to 400 Megawatts of energy, which can be used to power 300,000 homes for up to 8 hours per day.
